Lifted Spirits was originally created at the beginning of 2019 with the intention to assist with medical health insurance coverage for those in the restaurant and bar service industries in Austin, Texas. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, however, the severe impact on our Hospitality businesses and community has caused us to shift our focus to providing a broader network of support to ensure that in this crisis and in the future, our community is able to meet their basic needs in the hardest of times.

As some of the earliest to have their livelihoods threatened or lost entirely as the pandemic grew, hospitality business owners and their employees have had their lives turned upside down in recent days. While many were quickly faced with sudden and unexpected unemployment, those that were able to continue operating do so along a fine edge, with disaster just a misstep away. Throughout this pandemic the significant lack of a current safety net for those in the hospitality industry, our industry, has never been more clear.

At Lifted Spirits we want our community to know that we are here for you, and we are all in this together. We serve our hospitality community by providing emergency relief through financial assistance to ensure our community is able to meet basic needs in times of crisis or disaster. As we go along, we will continue to grow and expand our services through community collaboration and honest, open communication. We want the service industry to know that we have their back.
